Objectives
The course is suitable for those who have very basic level of English language and wanted to improve further so as to gain entry to Diploma courses that requires certain standard in the command of English. The programme is a 3 months course focusing on development of student’s proficiency in the English language for their general everyday needs which will develop their confidence in proper communication skills in a daily environment.
Students can look forward to a progressive and systematic curriculum to improve them in their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, as well as in their linguistic competencies (i.e. pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and discourse) so that students can be confident to communicate in English at the end of the programme.
The programme is equivalent to IELTS 5.0 and TOEFL 35.

The Certificate in English is awarded by Boston Business School upon successful completion of all 4 modules – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

Module Assessment Weightage
Equal weightage of 100 marks for each assessment module. The individual marks are then averaged and rounded to produce an Overall Grade.
